The Washington Huskies were able to pull off one of their best wins of the season and gain some tremendous confidence to start the road trip.

Tonight’s game will be televised on ESPN, and the Huskies will need to ride the momentum they garnered, into a two-game road sweep in the desert.

Washington came out inspired against the Arizona State Sun Devils, during their 90-83 upset victory, after finally finding a way to score the basketball during the last 5:00 minutes of the game.

Arizona is currently 20-10 (10-7) on the season, and recently earned an 83-62 victory at home against the Washington State Cougars, after closing out the game with a 26-0 run



• The Huskies’ 90 points were a tied a season-high and were its most in Pac-12 play since 94 against Oregon State two seasons ago in overtime on Feb. 17, 2018
• Washington is currently sixth in the NCAA in field goal percentage defense at 38.2
• UW has assisted on 50 percent of its baskets in 19 of their 30 games, and had 19 assists on 30 baskets at ASU
• Over the last eight games, seven off the bench, McDaniels is averaging 13.6 points, 5.3 rebounds while shooting 41.2 percent from the field, 36.8 from 3 and 80.6 from the FT line
• Junior Nahziah Carter is now at 848 career points as he has the most points by anyone on the roster … his game against Arizona State was the 100th of his career
• Washington’s 15 steals against WSU were its most since 16 against Bethune Cookman, Dec. 19, 2017
• Off the bench in the last two games, sophomore Elijah Hardy has averaged 7 points, 3 assists in 18.5 minutes … he scored a career-best 9 points at Arizona State while dishing out five assists and scored 5 points in 5 minutes against Washington State at home
Isaiah Stewart now owns the UW freshman records for blocks (63) and rebounds (262) … the rebound record he broke set by Mark Pope (234) was done almost 30 years ago (1991-92)
• Stewart is also tied for sixth in single season blocks overall for the Huskies with Christian Welp at 63 … the single season record for blocks is 88 set by Malik Dime (2015-16)
• Stewart is just two points away from becoming the 40th player in UW history to reach 500 points in a single-season … he currently has 498 points and would be the first UW freshman since Jaylen Nowell in 2017-18 to reach 500 points in a single season
• Stewart is tied for first in the Pac-12 with 13 double-doubles (with Zeke Nnaji, Ariz), and his five 20/10’s are the second-most in the league behind Onyeka Okongwu (USC)
• In UW’s four Pac-12 wins, it has outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points … UW’s two 30-point conference wins mark the first time since 2010-11 that UW has picked up two 30 point wins over P12 opponents
• After pulling his redshirt, freshman Marcus Tsohonis has averaged 9.3 points in the last eight games, seven starts, scoring a career-high 19 points against Arizona State, following with 13 at WSU, adding five at UCLA and 11 against both Stanford and California … he is also averaging 2.0 assists in those outings
• UW has let just one opponent shoot higher than 50 percent or better from the field in 30 games (WSU) … the Dawgs currently rank sixth nationally in FG percentage defense at 38.2 percent
• UW is averaging 6.2 blocks per game, which is second in the NCAA … UW led the country in blocks a year ago
• UW is averaging 13.4 takeaways (blocks and steals) this season, which is the most combined average by any team in the Pac-12
• UW has seven players listed at 6-9 or taller on its roster, the most in the Pac-12
• Stewart picked up his fourth Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honor on Jan. 6
