DubLife.net is doing a Holiday countdown to Christmas highlighting special moments and statistics in Husky Athletics history. Our segment is meant to bring positive thoughts of our favorite university during a time of the year where thanks and reflection is at the forefront of our minds.

4 DAYS ‘TIL CHRISTMAS

The number 4 signifies the seeding that the 2016 Washington Huskies Football Team received with their berth into the College Football Playoff.

After a magical season for the Huskies, they earned a spot into the College Football Playoff as the #4 seed and faced #1 Alabama in the semifinal.

Even though the Huskies would lose that game 24-7, the remarkable feat was a turning point in program history.  It was the first time in school history that the Huskies made the College Football Playoff since its inception.

In just year three of the Chris Petersen regime, he was able to guide the Huskies to the College Football Playoff which was an incredible accomplishment.
