DubLife.net is doing a Holiday countdown to Christmas highlighting special moments and statistics in Husky Athletics history. Our segment is meant to bring positive thoughts of our favorite university during a time of the year where thanks and reflection is at the forefront of our minds.

3 DAYS ‘TIL CHRISTMAS

The number 3 signifies the amount of unclaimed National Championships that the Washington Huskies Football Program has throughout its history.

In his Champions of College Football Book, Bill Libby chose the 1910 Husky Football Team has National Champions as they went 6-0 under Gil Dobie.

Additionally, the NCAA record books recognizes the accomplishments of the 1984 and 1990 Washington Husky Football teams under Don James.  The B (QPRS), FN, and NCF polls awarded Washington the national championship in 1984.

The Rothman/FACT, active from 1968 to 2006, stated that the Washington Huskies were National Champions for the 1990 season.
