Counting down “The 25 Days of Husky Christmas”…..

“DubLife” is doing its second season of the annual Holiday countdown to Christmas highlighting special moments and statistics in Husky Athletics history.  Our segment is meant to bring positive thoughts of our favorite university during a time of the year where thanks and reflection is at the forefront of our minds.

 

3 DAYS ‘TIL CHRISTMAS

The number 3 represents the jersey number of Washington Huskies Football defensive back Elijah Molden and his star performance.

Just this past week, Molden was named the Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl MVP, where he was the catalyst on the defensive side of the ball.

He finished with nine total tackles, including six solo stops, one interception, that he returned 31 yards, and one forced fumble, that was recovered by the Huskies.

Molden was inspired to play well for Washington head coach Chris Petersen, who was coaching his final game before heading into retirement.

‘Every game is important, but some games are more important,” Molden said. ”We had a lot of weeks to kind of let this simmer. And then we went out there, we played well.”
