24 DAYS ‘TIL CHRISTMAS
In one of the most electrifying moments in Washington Huskies Men’s Basketball history, point-guard Isaiah Thomas was the shot heard around the world.
With the game tied at 75-75 in overtime of the 2011 Pac-10 Men’s Basketball Tournament final against #16 Arizona, Thomas walked the ball up the floor with 18.4 seconds on the clock.
He would dribble shake, cross over and then step back with a Wildcats defender in his face – NOTHING BUT NET! Pure Pandemonium!
The Husky bench stormed the floor to greet Thomas and hoist him into the air in a crazy celebration that has proven to be historic.
Washington would clinch the Pac-10 Tournament Championship with Thomas’ clutch shot as he was named the tournament’s “Most Outstanding Player”. The call by announcer Gus Johnson still gives Husky Nation chills! COLD BLOODED!
