DubLife.net is doing a Holiday countdown to Christmas highlighting special moments and statistics in Husky Athletics history. Our segment is meant to bring positive thoughts of our favorite university during a time of the year where thanks and reflection is at the forefront of our minds.


The number 2 signifies the amount of national championships the Washington Huskies Football Team has won throughout the program’s history.

Back in 1960, the #6 Huskies finished the season 10-1 which was culminated by their upset 17-7 victory over #1 Minnesota in the Rose Bowl.

In 1991, Don James and company went undefeated with a 12-0 record which was highlighted by a 34-14 Rose Bowl victory over #4 Michigan.

The NCAA crowned the Washington Huskies as Co-National Champions along with the Miami Hurricanes after finishing #1 in the Coaches Poll.
