Counting down “The 25 Days of Husky Christmas”…..

“DubLife” is doing its second season of the annual Holiday countdown to Christmas highlighting special moments and statistics in Husky Athletics history.  Our segment is meant to bring positive thoughts of our favorite university during a time of the year where thanks and reflection is at the forefront of our minds.

 

16 DAYS ‘TIL CHRISTMAS

The number 16 represents the number 16 Baylor Bears who the Washington Huskies Men’s Basketball team upset 67-64 earlier this season.

Last month, the Huskies traveled up to Anchorage, Alaska to participate in the Armed Forces Classic to spend time with the soldiers and start out their year.

It was a significant accomplishment because it was the first time that the young and talented roster would completely play together.

To travel on the road for the first time and beat a ranked opponent on the national stage was a remarkable feat.  The Huskies were trailing by double-digits at one point throughout the game.

During the end of the game, the Huskies defense held the Bears to 0 FG’s over the final five minutes of the game to seal the victory.
