Counting down “The 25 Days of Husky Christmas”…..

DubLife.net is doing a Holiday countdown to Christmas highlighting special moments and statistics in Husky Athletics history.  Our segment is meant to bring positive thoughts of our favorite university during a time of the year where thanks and reflection is at the forefront of our minds.

The number 12 signifies the amount of wins the 1991 Washington Football Team won en route to their National Championship season.

Head coach Don James orchestrated a dream season which is regarded as one of the best in school history, during any era.

At the end of the season, the Huskies compiled a 12-0 record which was culminated by a 34-14 Rose Bowl victory over the #4 Michigan Wolverines.

Washington finished the season ranked #1 in the Coaches Poll and #2 in the AP Poll.  They were named Co-National Champions with the #1 Miami Hurricanes.
