“The 25 Days Of Husky Christmas” – 12 Days ‘Til

Counting down “The 25 Days of Husky Christmas”…..

“DubLife” is doing its second season of the annual Holiday countdown to Christmas highlighting special moments and statistics in Husky Athletics history.  Our segment is meant to bring positive thoughts of our favorite university during a time of the year where thanks and reflection is at the forefront of our minds.

The number 12 represents the number of wins that the 2016 Washington Huskies Football team compiled during their magical season.

During the Pac-12 Championship game at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the #4 Huskies defeated the #9 Colorado Buffaloes 41-10 to win the Pac-12 Championship and earn victory number 12.

With the win, the Washington Huskies earned a berth into the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history as the #4 seed.

Reaching the College Football Playoff in just year three under Washington head coach Chris Petersen was a remarkable feat.

The Huskies would fall to Alabama 24-7 in the College Football Playoff semifinal, and finish the season with a 12-2 overall record.
