“The 25 Days Of Husky Christmas” – 11 Days ‘Til

Counting down “The 25 Days of Husky Christmas”…..

“DubLife” is doing its second season of the annual Holiday countdown to Christmas highlighting special moments and statistics in Husky Athletics history.  Our segment is meant to bring positive thoughts of our favorite university during a time of the year where thanks and reflection is at the forefront of our minds.

The number 11 represents the jersey number of Husky Legend Mark Brunell who played quarterback for the Washington Huskies in the early 90’s.

Back in 2015, Brunell was inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame for his stellar play in the 1991, 1992 and 1993 Rose Bowl games.

During that span, Brunell passed for five touchdowns and ran for two, which proved to be instrumental for the Washington Huskies.

On January 1, 1992, Mark threw a 38-yard TD pass to wide receiver Mario Bailey who struck the Heisman pose in the end zone.  It is regarded as one of the most memorable moments in Husky history.

The Huskies currently have nine members from its football program inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame throughout school history.
