DubLife.net is doing a Holiday countdown to Christmas highlighting special moments and statistics in Husky Athletics history.  Our segment is meant to bring positive thoughts of our favorite university during a time of the year where thanks and reflection is at the forefront of our minds.

10 DAYS ‘TIL CHRISTMAS

The number 10 signifies #10 himself, former quarterback Jake Locker who made a humongous decision to forgo the NFL Draft and return for his senior season.

Back in 2009, during the offseason, Locker was pegged as the #1 overall pick in the draft, but decided to return for his senior season in 2010.

That decision helped turn the tide of the entire Washington Huskies Football Program and resurrect it back towards respectability, under then head coach Steve Sarkisian.

Locker helped guide the Huskies to their first bowl game since 2002, and capped it off by upsetting #16 Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl 19-7.
