This was a much-needed victory for the Washington Huskies football program, to show that they were making progress. Coming off a bye week and being well-rested and healthy, this was the Huskies best chance to pull off a good win and they didn't seize the opportunity.
The team gets credit for not giving up and fighting all the way to the end with another comeback attempt. They should be making things a lot easier for themselves as an entire team.
Overall it was a lackluster performance by the Huskies, especially on defense where they struggled all night to get stops and contain the run.
