Gregory, who will continue to coach Washington's inside linebackers, has 15 seasons of experience as a defensive coordinator, including eight at the FBS level. He was coordinator for seven seasons at California (2002-09) under Jeff Tedford, and for one at Boise State (2001) under Dan Hawkins. He joined Washington's staff in 2014 along with former UW head coach Chris Petersen, having served as Boise State's linebackers coach from 2010 through 2013.
Coach Malloe said, "we are not where we should be at all by any means," about his defensive line group.
"I feel like Coach Lake kept the same system as Coach Pete," McDuffie said.
At 6-foot-3, 306 pounds, Peihopa's massive size adds to the Polynesian pipeline that the Husky coaching staff has worked hard to build through the years.
