Washington finished the 2022 season with an 11-2 record, marking just the 5th time in school history that the Huskies have reached 11 wins. Kalen DeBoer is the first UW head coach to win a bowl game in his first season. Never before had UW won more than 8 games under a first-year head coach.

The biggest reason the offense is executing at a high level so far is the command and play of Penix Jr. You can really start to see the poise that he possesses in the pocket and he makes the right reads on a consistent basis.
Coach DeBoer has been a winner at every stop that he has been at, with a 79-9 (.898) overall record in seven seasons as head coach which includes three NAIA national championships.
