Salvon Ahmed & Elijah Molden Ahmed Earn CoSIDA Academic All-District 8

Two members of the Washington football team – Salvon Ahmed and Elijah Molden – have been named to CoSIDA’s Academic All-District 8 team, announced today.
 
Ahmed, a junior tailback from Kirkland, Wash., and Molden, a junior defensive back from West Linn, Ore., were honored for the first time. In order to be nominated, a player must carry a 3.30 grade point average, be a starter or regular player and have at least one year in college.
 
Ahmed, who enters the week as the Pac-12 leader in rushing yards with 886, carries a 3.35 grade point average as an education, communities and organizations (ECO) major. He was an Academic All-Pac-12 second-team selection as a sophomore in 2018.
 
Molden is currently second in the Pac-12 with 12 passes defended. He’s also second on the team with 52 total tackles and two interceptions. He boasts a 3.54 GPA as a communication major.
 
By virtue of making the All-District team, both Ahmed and Molden will be eligible for the Academic All-America team.
