Quade Green’s Waiver Approved By The NCAA, Eligible To Play Immediately

The Washington Huskies Men’s Basketball team received some great news earlier today, just one day after winning their season opener.

Kentucky transfer guard Quade Green was granted immediate eligibility by the NCAA, as they ruled in his favor by approving his waiver.

“We’re very excited to have Quade eligible immediately and we’d like to thank the NCAA, the University of Kentucky and the compliance staffs both here at Washington and at Kentucky,” said head coach Mike Hopkins. “We can’t thank them enough for their cooperation and we are very happy for Quade.”

Green joined the Huskies last January and has been sitting out ever since, due to NCAA transfer rules.  He is a former five-star recruit and is a former McDonald’s All-American.

The Huskies’ next game will take place next Friday, November 8th at 6:30 p.m. against the Baylor Bears.  The game is part of the Armed Forces Classic, which will take place at Alaska Airlines Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

Quade will make his Husky debut at the Armed Forces Classic and he will surely bolster an already talented backcourt.

The Huskies currently have three former McDonald’s All Americans in Green and freshman forwards Jaden McDaniels and Isaiah Stewart.
