Petersen Announces Additions Of John Timu & Cornelius Washington

Earlier tonight, Washington head coach Chris Petersen announced the addition of two people to his staff.

Former linebacker John Timu has joined the Petersen’s staff as an assistant while his specific role has yet to be revealed.

Timu played for the Huskies and worked his way into All-Pac-12 Honorable mention during his Husky career.

In 2015, Timu joined the Chicago Bears in the NFL as an undrafted free agent and most recently played for the Salt Lake City Stallions of the Alliance of American Football League.

Cornelius Washington has also been added and will served as “Recruiting Communications Coordinator” for the Huskies.

The former Georgia Bulldogs product was drafted in the 6th round by the Chicago Bears and later played for the Detroit Lions.

With bringing a former Husky on the staff in Timu, Petersen is continuing to strengthen the Husky culture by making former players feel welcome into his program.
