Huskies Smack The Quack Out Of Ducks 78-67

Per The University of Washington Press Release…

SEATTLE, WASH. – The Washington men’s basketball team dominated against Oregon in the rivalry match-up game, winning 78-67.

Terrell Brown Jr. came out firing on all cylinders, scoring the Huskies (15-14, 10-9) first eight points. He had 25 on the night. Emmitt Matthews Jr. also contributed 25 for UW.

The Ducks (18-12, 11-8) couldn’t get their offense going due to the Dawgs disruptive zone defense.

To begin the second period, Washington went on an eight-point, unanswered, run. A dunk from Nate Roberts put the Huskies up 21 and forced an Oregon timeout that brought Alaska Airlines Arena to their feet.

Roberts had a big night for the Dawgs, putting up a career-high 18 points and 16 rebounds.

This is the first time Washington has beat the Ducks since 2019 and the first time they have beaten them at home since 2015.
