Four-Star Defensive Back Jacobe Covington Decommits From Washington

The Washington Huskies Football “DBU” room is down one less commitment for the 2020 recruiting class this afternoon.

Four-star defensive back Jacobe Covington decommited from Washington earlier today via a post from his twitter account.

Covington is a 6-foot-1, 193-pound defensive back from Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Former Husky cornerback Byron Murphy is from the same high school as well.

Back on August 17th, Covington committed to the Huskies and became the 17th overall commit of the 2020 Huskies recruiting class at the time.

He originally chose Washington over other top colleges such as LSU, Oklahoma, Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Washington State and others.

Covington is currently ranked the #15 overall cornerback in the nation and the #5 best player in the state of Arizona by 247Sports.

It is unclear where the Huskies will go from here now that a spot has opened up for the 2020 recruiting class.  The Huskies are currently at 19 commits for their 2020 recruiting class.
