Elijah Molden Named William V. Campbell Trophy Finalist

Washington senior Elijah Molden has been named one of 12 finalists for the William V. Campbell Trophy, college football’s premier scholar-athlete award, the National Football Foundation announced today.
 
As a finalist, Molden has won an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a member of the 2020 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class.
 
Later this year, one of the 12 finalists will win the 31st annual Campbell Trophy, with comes along with a $25,000 postgraduate scholarship.
 

 
Molden was the only Pac-12 student-athlete among the 12 finalists, and one of just three from a FBS Power Five conference.
 
Molden, a defensive back from West Linn, Ore., will get his season started this Satruday night, when the Huskies play their first game of the year, vs. Oregon State. A first-team All-Pac-12 selection last year, Molden was a first-team Walter Camp Preseason All-America honoree this season. He also earned Academic All-District 8 and Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll last year.
