Defensive Back Danny Rivera Will Walk-On At Washington

The Washington Huskies Football coaching staff continues its strategy of offering walk-ons in the attempt of finding a talented diamond in the rough.

Defensive back Danny Rivera committed to the Huskies as a walk-on, after surveying his options and not yet visiting the University of Washington.

Rivera is from Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Arizona where recent signee and teammate, Jacobe Covington is from.

At 6-foot-1, 185-pounds, Rivera is a prospect that the Husky coaches like at the safety position, as they see untapped potential in him.

Rivera chose the Huskies over schools like the University of New Mexico, Arizona State and Utah, as they offered him as a preferred walk-on.
