BREAKING: Washington Huskies Updated Football Schedule Released

Per The University of Washington Press Release…..

July 31, 2020

The Pac-12 Conference has announced a new schedule for the 2020 football season. The new slate of games calls for the season to begin on Sept. 26, and each Pac-12 program will play a total of 10 games – five home and five away – against conference-only competition.

The new schedule is not in any way aligned with the original 2020 conference schedule, other than that the Apple Cup is scheduled for the same date. The new conference schedule includes a total of eight Friday games across the league, with four of those slated to air on FOX television and the other four on ESPN. Washington is involved in two Friday games, including the Apple Cup.

Additional details, namely kickoff times and TV arrangements, will be announced at a later date, along with much more specific information about the coming season. Additionally, Husky season ticket holders will receive an update as soon as one is available, along with additional information as it comes. Contingent on local conditions, training camps can begin as early as August 17.

The UW will open the season with two home games as the Huskies will play host to Stanford (Sept. 26) and Arizona (Oct. 3).

That stretch is followed by a trip to California on Oct. 10, and then by an off week (Oct. 17).

The Huskies get back to action at Husky Stadium vs. Oregon State on Oct. 24 before traveling to Oregon the following Saturday, Oct. 31.

Washington’s first Friday game is Nov. 6 at home vs. Colorado, and that game will air on ESPN. The Huskies then head to Salt Lake City to face Utah on Nov. 14, before returning to Seattle to take on UCLA on Nov. 21.

On Friday, Nov. 27, the Huskies travel across the state for the Apple Cup in Pullman. That game will air on FOX or FS1 television. The Huskies’ season comes to a close with a trip to USC on Dec. 5.

The date of Pac-12 Football Championship Game is scheduled for Dec. 18 or 19 in Las Vegas.
