The Washington Huskies Football coaching staff received some great recruiting news when they dipped into the “Lone Star State” to bolster their backfield.
Earlier this morning, three-star running back Caleb Berry announced his commitment to the University of Washington via a video posted on Twitter.
Berry is a prospect from Lufkin High School in Lufkin, Texas. He is the first running back commit for the 2021 recruiting class as the Huskies look to add depth to the position.
At 6-foot-0, 209 pounds, Berry is a talented and physical running back who likes to get downhill, but can also run sideline to sideline as well. In addition to football, Berry also runs the 100 and 200 meters on the track team at Lufkin High School.
Berry is currently ranked as a three-star recruit by 247Sports, and is also rated as the #43 best overall running back in the nation.
He had offers from Nebraska, Houston, Texas Tech, Arkansas, Washington State, Boise State, Hawaii and more.
Berry is the #12 verbal commitment for the Washington Huskies for the 2021 recruiting class. The Husky coaching staff has worked hard to establish solid recruiting roots in the state of Texas.
