BREAKING: Salvon Ahmed Signs Undrafted Free Agent Contract With The 49ers

The 2020 NFL Draft came and went with only two Husky players being drafted throughout the entire three-day duration.

Immediately after the draft, Husky running back Salvon Ahmed signed an undrafted free agent contract with the San Francisco 49ers.

Ahmed boasts some freakish athleticism and tremendous jumpcut ability in the backfield and is a homerun threat any time he touches the ball.

As a junior in 2019, Ahmed became the ninth Husky in the last 10 years to rush for 1,000 or more yards, finishing the season with 1,020 yards and 11 rushing touchdowns on 188 carries. He also earned Academic All-District VIII, Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll and honorable mention All-Pac-12.

In his three seasons at the UW, he played in 39 of a possible 40 games, rushing for 2,016 yards and 21 touchdowns, while also notching 50 career receptions.

Ahmed is from Kirkland, Washington where he played his high school ball at Juanita High School before joining the Washington Huskies.
