The Washington Huskies Football coaching staff started out “Father’s Day” with a bang in recruiting to cap off a successful week on the trail.
Earlier this morning, four-star, two-way athlete Will Latu announced his commitment to the University of Washington via an Instagram video and Twitter announcement.
Latu is a local product from Bethel High School in Spanaway, Washington. It is believed that the Husky coaching staff wants to use him primarily as a linebacker with the option of some running back packages on offense as well.
At 6-foot-2, 221 pounds, Latu is a talented athlete who can make plays on both sides of the ball and currently is one of the highest rated commits for the 2021 Husky recruiting class.
Latu is currently ranked as a four-star prospect by 247Sports, the #6 best overall recruit in the state and the #13 best athlete in the nation.
He had offers from Tennessee, USC, Michigan, Nebraska, Utah, Arizona State, Colorado, Washington State, Kansas State, Oregon State and more.
Latu is the #10 verbal commitment for the Washington Huskies for the 2021 recruiting class. It signals the Husky coaching staff’s effort to keep the top players from the state of Washington home.
