BREAKING: Local Three-Star Wide Receiver Denzel Boston Commits To Washington

The Washington Huskies Football coaching staff received some more great news today, from a playmaker on the offensive side of the ball.

Earlier this afternoon, local wide receiver prospect Denzel Boston announced his commitment to the University of Washington via a message he posted on Twitter.

Boston plays at nearby Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup, Washington.  At 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, Boston participated in a Rising Stars camp back in June and received an offer from the Husky coaching staff.  He solidified his stock and offer during an individual workout at Washington last week according to 247Sports.

Last year, during his junior season, Boston notched 34 catches, 553 yards, 16.3 yards per reception, and 7 touchdowns in 5 games last season.  

Boston is ranked by 247Sports as a three-star recruit and the #162 overall wide receiver prospect in the nation for the 2022 recruiting class.  He is also the #20 overall rated prospect in the state of Washington.

Boston originally had other offers from Washington State, Arizona, Arizona State, Eastern Washington, and Nevada before choosing Washington today.

With the commitment from Boston, Washington now has eleven committed players for the 2022 recruiting class.  Boston is just the second wide receiver commit for the Huskies in this class, joining Germie Bernard.

Washington commits Germie Bernard (WR), Chance Bogan (TE), Jackson Stratton (QB), Parker Brailsford (OL), Vega Ioane (OL), Ben Roberts, Emeka Megwa (RB), Lance Holtzclaw (OLB), Ryan Otton (TE), and T.J. Hall (DB), and Denzel Boston (WR) are all headed to Montlake.  Bernard, Roberts, Megwa, and Otton are all four-star commits in the fold for this recruiting class so far.
