It was announced this morning that the Washington Huskies Football team will face the #18 Boise State Broncos in the Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl.
The game will take place on Saturday, December 21st at 4:30 p.m. PT. It will be televised on the ABC Network from Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This season, the Huskies finished the regular season with a record of 7-5, after capping off the season with their seventh straight Apple Cup victory.
Washington’s opponent, Boise State had a great season of their own and finished with a record of 12-1, while capturing a championship in the Mountain West Conference.
What is significant about this bowl game for the Huskies is this will be the final game for head coach Chris Petersen, who stepped down last week.
The Huskies will certainly be motivated to send their beloved coach out on top with a bowl game victory and let him ride off into the sunset.
Unofficially, we can all call this the “Chris Petersen Legacy Bowl.”
The finale.
