BREAKING: Huskies Receive Commitment From Top Player in Hawaii Fa’atui Tuitele

Tuitele is considered the number one player in the state of Hawaii and the Husky coaches beat out some top suitors for his services.

He chose Washington over Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Texas amongst other schools that have recruited him hard.

ESPN rates Tuitele as the #40 overall recruit in the entire nation for the class of 2019, while 247Sports.com has him rated as the #68 overall.

Tuitele would be the highest rated recruit of the Chris Petersen era, since he has been the head coach at Washington.

The Husky coaching staff is really stockpiling their talent on the defensive line.  Recently, they received a commitment from Jacob Bandes who is ranked the #32 overall player in the 2019 class by 247Sports.com.  With Bandes and Tuitele, the Huskies now have the top two defensive tackles on the West coast.

At 6-foot-4, 299 pounds, the Hawaiian prospect is another sign that the Husky coaches are reestablishing the “Poly Pipeline”, that was so successful to Huskies back in the early 1990’s.

Husky Defensive Line coach Ikaika Malloe has made his presence known on the Islands as he has established a great reputation with high school players and coaches stemming from his days as a former Husky Football player himself.
