BREAKING: Huskies Add Three-Star Defensive Back Elijah Jackson

Over the course of the last five days, the Washington Huskies Football coaching staff has added it’s third defensive back commitment to the fold.

The Husky defense continues to bolster it’s secondary for the 2020 recruiting class with another talented player from a familiar recruiting ground.

This time, the Huskies reached back into it’s network at Lawndale High School in Lawndale, California.

6-foot-2, 175 pound Elijah Jackson is a three-star prospect and is rated the no. 87 best cornerback prospect in the nation according to 247Sports.

Jackson’s biggest asset is his ball skills, while having the ability to cover massive ground all over the field.  He is regarded as a physical receiver with the ability to make plays.

There seems to be a trend with Washington defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake, as Jackson is another tall and lanky frame which Lake seems to target.

Washington was able to secure the commitment of Jackson over other colleges such as Utah, Cal, UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Texas Tech, BYU and Oregon State.

This is the second commitment in the last 48-hours from Lawndale High School, as fellow teammate Makell Esteen (defensive back) announced his commitment to the Huskies this past Saturday.

For the 2020 recruiting class, the Huskies now have four defensive back commitments which is remarkable considering last month they had a total of zero.

Overall, the Huskies have 19 total commitments for the 2020 recruiting class and this one is shaping up as another elite haul for this coaching staff.
