The Washington Huskies Football coaching staff’s effort to build a pipeline of talent for many years down the road received a huge jolt today.
Earlier this evening, four-star wide receiver Germie Bernard announced his commitment to the University of Washington via his Twitter account.
Bernard is a star from Liberty High School in Henderson, Nevada. Husky wide receiver coach Junior Adams has put forth a huge effort to acquire top talent and playmakers, who can make an immediate impact.
At 6-foot-2, 190 pounds, Bernard is a talented prospect who has the ability to make big time plays. He is extremely athletic with a strong frame, which gives him the ability to win one-on-one matchups consistently.
Bernard is currently ranked as the No. 20 wide receiver prospect in the nation and the No. 5 overall best player in the state for the 2022 class according to 247Sports Composite.
He had offers from Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Arizona State, Utah, Miami and many more.
Bernard is the first verbal commitment for the Washington Huskies for the 2022 recruiting class. The Husky coaching staff has had recent success in recruiting elite wide receiver talent from the state of Nevada.
