BREAKING: Four-Star Local Wide Receiver Jabez Tinae Commits To Washington

The Washington Huskies Football coaching staff’s effort to keep the top players from leaving the state of Washington succeeded in a big way today!

Earlier this evening, four-star wide receiver Jabez Tinae announced his commitment to the University of Washington via a video posted on Twitter.

Tinae is a local star from Kennedy Catholic High School in Burien, Washington.  What made this commitment special was the fact the he announced on his father’s birthday (Joe Tinae), who passed away back in 2010.

At 6-foot-1, 187 pounds, Tinae is a talented and crisp route runner who has the ability to use his athleticism to make plays in traffic.  He has great hands, with the consistency to get open while showing excellent body control.

Tinae is currently ranked as a four-star recruit by 247Sports Composite.  He is also rated as the #50 best overall wide receiver in the nation and the #7 player in the state of Washington.

He had offers from USC, Oregon, Nebraska, Utah, Arizona State, Cal, Washington State, Colorado and more.

Tinae is the #13 verbal commitment for the Washington Huskies for the 2021 recruiting class. The Husky coaching staff has established a local pipeline at Kennedy Catholic High School.  Five-star talent Sav’ell Smalls signed with the Huskies back in December of 2019 and five-star quarterback Sam Huard has been committed to the Huskies since November of 2018.
