BREAKING: Former Oklahoma Defensive Back Brendan Radley-Hiles Transfers To Washington

The Washington Huskies Football coaching staff received a tremendous boost in the secondary, with an addition that will provide talent and experience.

Earlier this evening, defensive back transfer Brendan “Bookie” Radley-Hiles announced his commitment to the University of Washington via a message he posted on Twitter.

Radley-Hiles chose the Oklahoma Sooners back in 2018 and is well known as a hard-hitting tackler with tremendous athleticism. The Huskies coaching staff will rely on his leadership on the backend after losing defensive backs Elijah Molden and Keith Taylor.

At 5-foot-10, 183 pounds, Radley-Hiles will bring that physicality and enforcer mentality to the secondary. He started in 32 games over a three-year span for the Sooners and garnered 115 career tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions, and 14 passes defended.

Radley-Hiles will have a full two years of eligibility to play and is expected to join the Huskies this spring. He was originally ranked by 247Sports Composite as a four-star recruit, the #5 cornerback overall, and the #38 overall prospect in the nation for the 2018 recruiting class.

He originally had offers from Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Michigan, Tennessee, Florida State, Texas, USC, UCLA, Arizona State, Baylor, Florida, Michigan State, and Notre Dame among many others.

The Huskies have made the NCAA transfer portal, a part of their recruiting formula this offseason. They have four additions which include quarterback Patrick O’Brien from Colorado State, wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk from Texas Tech, Jeremiah Martin from Texas A&M, and now thumper Brendan Radley-Hiles from Oklahoma.
