The Washington Huskies Football family received more great news when one of their defensive backs was selected in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Former Husky defensive back Elijah Molden was selected as the #100th overall pick by the Tennessee Titans as the first Husky “DB” selected.
He was drafted at the #37 pick in the 3rd round and the Tennessee Titans will be getting a versatile player who can play multiple positions in the secondary.
Molden decided to play out his senior season at Washington after the pandemic hit and wait to declare for the NFL Draft. He has been training hard and getting ready for this moment for several months.
During his college career, Molden had career starts in 3 out of his 4 years with the Huskies and In his final season at UW, he was named a second-team All-American by Pro Football Focus, which also named him Pac-12 Player of the Year. He also earned first-team All-Pac-12 for the second season in a row. Molden finished his college career at Washington with 153 total tackles, 7 tackles-for-loss, and 5 interceptions in 44 games played.
Molden is from West Linn, Oregon where he played his high school ball at West Linn High School before joining the Washington Huskies.
