BREAKING: Defensive Tackle Voi Tunuufi Commits To Washington

While former Huskies were making the news the last three days at the 2020 NFL Draft, a future Husky gave his verbal commitment to the coaching staff

Earlier this evening, three-star defensive line recruit Voi Tunuufi announced his commitment to the University of Washington via his twitter account.

Tunuufi hails from East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah, which is where current Husky defensive lineman Sam Taimani and outside linebacker Jordan Lolohea are from.

At 6-foot-2, 280 pounds, Tunuufi’s biggest attribute is his high motor that he brings to the position and his relentless pursuit.

Tunuufi is currently ranked as a three-star prospect, the No. 4 recruit in the state of Utah and the No. 26 defensive tackle by the 247Sports Composite.

He had offers from Michigan, Arkansas, BYU, Cal, Utah, Arizona State, Colorado and Minnesota amongst others.

Tunuufi is the #5 verbal commitment for the Washington Huskies for the 2021 recruiting class, joining three-star cornerback Zakhari Spears, five-star quarterback Sam Huard, three-star defensive lineman Kuao Peihopa and three-star tight end Caden Jumper.
