Washington defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike will give up his remaining year of college eligibility and enter the 2021 NFL Draft, he announced today.

Onwuzurike, a fifth-year senior from Allen, Texas, was named to the All-Pac-12 first team last year, and earned first-team preseason All-America from Athlon’s earlier this summer, as well as preseason second-team All-America from several others. Additionally, he was a 2018 CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 selection and earned his bachelor’s degree last June.

“I’m proud of all that Levi accomplished on and off the field during his time at Washington,” UW head coach Jimmy Lake said. “He was an outstanding player and an excellent teammate. Everyone in the program wishes him all the best.”

Onwuzurike (pronounced OWN-zurr-EE-kay) redshirted the 2016 season before going on to play in 39 of a possible 40 games over the next three years, starting a total of 16. Last season, he led all Husky defensive linemen with 45 total tackles.
