In the midst of strategically navigating the current pandemic, the Washington Huskies Football coaching staff is still “getting it done” on the recruiting trail.
Earlier this morning, three-star defensive line recruit Kuao Peihopa announced his commitment to the University of Washington via his twitter account.
Peihopa hails from Kamehameha High School in Honolulu, Hawaii which is where current Husky co-defensive coordinator/defensive line coach Ikaika Malloe played at in the early 1990’s.
At 6-foot-3, 306 pounds, Peihopa’s massive size adds to the Polynesian pipeline that the Husky coaching staff has worked hard to build through the years.
Peihopa is currently ranked as the #30 defensive tackle nationally and also the #4 overall best player from the state of Hawaii.
He had offers from Nebraska, Wisconsin, Arizona State, Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon State, Cal, UCLA, Arizona, Washington State amongst others.
Peihopa is the #3 verbal commitment for the Washington Huskies for the 2021 recruiting class, joining three-star cornerback Zakhari Spears and five-star quarterback Sam Huard.
