BREAKING: Defensive Back Zakhari Spears Commits To Washington

The Washington Huskies Football coaching staff is off to a hot start for their 2021 recruiting class, as they received some great news today.

Three-star defensive back Zakhari Spears committed to the Huskies, via his twitter account, as he is the latest addition to “DBU”.

Spears is from Loyola High School in Los Angeles, California, and fits the prototypical defensive back that Washington head coach Jimmy Lake likes.

Recent Husky safety star Myles Bryant hails from Loyola High School himself, as Spears will hope to follow in his footsteps at Washington.

At 6-foot-3, 172-pounds, Spears is a talented and physical cornerback who possesses speed and size, which the Husky coaches like in the secondary.

Spears chose the Huskies over schools like Utah, Washington State, BYU, Arizona State, Maryland, California, Oregon State, and Oregon among others.

With the addition of Spears, the Huskies now have two committed players for the 2021 recruiting class, as the Husky coaches are relentlessly hitting the recruiting trail.

Local five-star quarterback Sam Huard is the other prospect, who is committed to the Huskies for the 2021 class, and who happens to be the son of former Husky quarterback Damon Huard.
