BREAKING: Brandon Wellington Signs Undrafted Free Agent Contract With The Colts

It is always nice when two Husky teammates can join each other on the same team and remain teammates in the NFL as well.

Sometime after the draft, Husky inside linebacker Brandon Wellington signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Indianapolis Colts where he will join teammate Jacob Eason.

Wellington was hampered by injuries throughout his entire Husky career and settled into that starting inside linebacker role for most of his senior season.

He played in all 13 games during his senior season while starting in 12 of those games and being a senior leader at the inside linebacker position.

In what was his best game last season, Wellington had a career-high 16 tackles, which was the most in a game by any Husky in 2019, during the Apple Cup victory over Washington State.

Wellington is from Kent, Washington and was a local star at Eastside Catholic High School in Bellevue, Washington before joining the Washington Huskies.
