The Washington Huskies Football coaching staff received some great news earlier today with yet another addition to the trenches from an in-state program very familiar to the Huskies.
Earlier this morning, offensive line prospect Vega Ioane announced his commitment to the University of Washington via a message he posted on Twitter.
Ioane plays at Graham-Kapowsin High School in local Graham, Washington which is the same high school that current Husky quarterback Dylan Morris is from. At 6-foot-4, 320 pounds, he is projected to be an interior lineman at the collegiate level.
Ioane is ranked by 247Sports as a three-star recruit and the #15 overall interior lineman prospect in the nation for the 2022 recruiting class. He is also the #8 overall rated prospect in the state of Washington.
He originally had offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, USC, UCLA, Oregon State, Washington State, BYU, UNLV, Colorado, and Florida Atlantic.
With the commitment from Ioane, Washington now has six committed players for the 2022 recruiting class. Ioane is the third offensive lineman in this class so far.
Washington commits Germie Bernard (WR), Chance Bogan (TE), Jackson Stratton (QB), Parker Brailsford (OL), Mark Nabou (OL), and Vega Ioane are all headed to Montlake. Bernard is the only four-star commit in the fold.
