The Washington Huskies Football coaching staff received final confirmation on recruiting news that leaked earlier this week. The addition of a game-changing talent with freakish speed and athleticism.
Earlier this morning, wide receiver transfer Giles Jackson announced his commitment to the University of Washington via a message he posted on Twitter.
Jackson chose the Michigan Wolverines back in 2019 and is well known for his tremendous speed and elusiveness. The Huskies coaching staff will rely on his ability to be a threat in the return game and a homerun target in the passing game.
At 5-foot-9, 188 pounds, Jackson will bring a level of experience to a receiver group looking for a number one to emerge. Before his transfer to Washington, Jackson was slated to be a starter at Michigan this season. While in Ann Arbor, he amassed 24 receptions for 309 yards and a touchdown. He also averaged 26.4 yards per kick return and notched two special-teams scores.
Jackson will have a full three years of eligibility to play for the Washington Huskies. He was originally ranked by 247Sports as a four-star recruit, the #30 wide receiver overall, and the #233 overall prospect in the nation for the 2019 recruiting class.
He originally had offers from Florida, Oregon, USC, California, Hawaii, Oregon State, Utah State, San Jose State, and Colorado among others.
The Huskies have made the NCAA transfer portal, a part of their recruiting formula this offseason. They have five additions which include quarterback Patrick O’Brien from Colorado State, wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk from Texas Tech, Jeremiah Martin from Texas A&M, thumper Brendan Radley-Hiles from Oklahoma, and now Giles Jackson from Michigan.
