Kentucky Transfer Quade Green Chooses Washington

The Washington Huskies Men’s Basketball Team received some great news this week when Kentucky transfer Quade Green announced Washington as his destination of choice.

Washington head coach Mike Hopkins recruited Green while Hopkins was at Syracuse, which finished second to the Wildcats for Green out of high school.

Green is a 6-0 point guard from Philadelphia who was ESPN’s fifth-ranked point guard and No. 24 prospect overall coming out of high school in 2017.

A five-star prospect coming out of Neumann Goretti High School, Green was ranked as the No. 26 overall prospect in the 2017 class when he signed with the Calipari’s team over Duke, Syracuse, Temple and Villanova.

He will be eligible to play for the Huskies in January 2020 and will have a year and a half left to play for the Huskies.

The news couldn’t have come at a greater time with senior point guard David Crisp graduating after this season.
