The Washington Huskies received some good news on the recruiting front when local Kennedy Catholic QB Sam Huard committed to head coach Chris Petersen.
Huard is the #1 rated pocket passer QB prospect in the nation for the 2021 recruiting class, and announced his commitment yesterday.
It was a good day for the Huskies, who gained a top future recruit and also won their sixth straight Apple Cup against the #8 Washington State Cougars.
As a four-star recruit, Huard is listed at 6-feet-2 inches and 175 pounds and is linked to the Washington Husky family.
His father Damon, was a Husky star quarterback himself during the 1990’s, and his uncle Brock was also a star Husky quarterback during the latter part of that era too.
Damon is currently a radio analyst for the Washington Huskies and very much a part of the Husky Football program.
Huard hopes to continue in his father and uncle’s legacy as another talented Huard quarterback for the Washington Huskies.
During his high school career so far, the sophomore QB has amassed 7,597 yards and 76 touchdowns and is growing physically each year.
The Husky coaching staff is continuing to get it done on the recruiting trail with elite quarterbacks, as they are stockpiling them for the future each year.
